snows coming down,
garland and lights pollute this town.
what holds the moon up?
as she lights up, a forest of christmas trees.
what about you and me?
am i just wasting time that was never mine?

i know this season is about more then me
about how love came down,
or so a chorus of angels sang
peace on earth, good tidings and joy to you and your family
I've got one hell of a family
will i ever have my own

every year that passes,
takes me from my God given calling.
will i ever have a son
or even a baby girl?
its been a while since i had a lady
not that i've been looking lately
i must be the most shallow of my kind

this time next year i'll be out west
chasing the dream of a cowboy
